In spite of our success in campaigning to have the Planning Application for a wind mast on Went Edge to be refused, we are still having problems attracting enough volunteers to fight the main Planning Application for six 125m tall wind turbines. Our volunteers play an incredibly valuable role in helping to run local events, writing or distributing newsletters, raising funds etc. We are always in need of more willing participants who, like us, want to help increase awareness of the threat to our local communities of a wind farm being built on Went Edge.

We need volunteers for all sorts of things including: 

• Help with monitoring the blimp when it is flying
• Help with publicity, drafting press releases, desktop publishing
• Help with preparing temporary exhibitions, including research and staffing on the day
• Help writing our newsletter and leaflets
• Help with delivering leaflets and newsletters
• Help keeping this website up-to-date: taking photos, writing stories and page design
