Page 1 of 3 PROPOSED POST OFFICE CLOSURE HARDWICK ROAD BRANCH, PONTEFRACT WF8 3QR
The Government has decided that up to 2,500 Post Office Branches across the UK will close, and therefore in its wisdom the Post Office has selected the Hardwick Road branch to be one of them. The other branches, apart from the main Post Office in Pontefract town centre, which they suggest as alternatives are: Ladybalk, Holmefield Lane, (Nevison), Willow Park, and Glasshoughton branch (which is not even in Pontefract).
THE POST OFFICE HAS STIPULATED THAT THE CLOSING DATE FOR THE PUBLIC CONSULTATION PERIOD IS MONDAY 23rd JUNE 2008.
HARDWICK ROAD POST OFFICE IS YOUR LOCAL FACILITY, IT IS THE FOCAL POINT OF THE COMMUNITY AND IT IS YOU THAT WILL BE INCONVENIENCED BY ITS CLOSURE!
If you want to join the fight to retain this valuable service then please help us to help you by making YOUR VIEWS known as follows:

It will only take a few minutes to do one (or all) of the above, so please, if you are able, do it as soon as possible as time is not on our side. The more noise we make the more chance there is we will be listened to.
