Proper grounds for objection¨ Conflict with local planning guidelines, i.e. Greenbelt land ¨ Conflict with Council’s statutory duty (Countryside Act 1968) to preserve and enhance the countryside ¨ Safety considerations, i.e. proximity of major roads, inadequacy of existing roads for construction traffic ¨ Ecological/habitat/archaeological/historical importance of the site ¨ Environmental concerns – tiny amount of clean electricity generated in relation to huge landscape damage, destruction of natural habitat ¨ Loss of visual amenity – development would have dramatic impact on character and appearance of the area and would overwhelm its existing quality ¨ Unacceptable noise levels at properties within 1.5km This is not a comprehensive list but may be helpful. Where do I send my objection?Under normal circumstances only 21 days are allowed for sending objections, however in this case objections will be accepted until a decision is reached.
