Public Inquiry Legal Expenses to Fund

Wentworth Park Rise Thank you to all who donated following the recent request, it was a great response. However, we are still short of our goal and this will effect how well we can perform on your behalf at the public inquiry. We now need the others who have not yet donated to come to the fore and give what they can. After all, all we are asking for is the price of a meal for two or even a couple of pints!

Please make the cheques payable to PWAG Appeal Fund and send it to Tony Hames, The Bungalow, Doncaster Rd, East Hardwick, WF8 3EQ. Remember to provide your contact details as we will be refunding any excess on a pro rata basis.

Picture to the right is the view from Wentworth Park Rise of two turbines to scale, there could be five!  This monstrosity will affect your quality of life for you and your family.

Historic footpath

P.W.A.G. have applied for an unmarked footpath that crosses the wind farm site to be clearly marked. If thefootpath was in regular use it would be difficult to build a wind farm so close to it.

We are anxious to collect further evidence of this footpath and would like to hear from anyone who may have walked the footpath at any time or who may have access to any old records e.g. any formerwaterboard employees. We believe the footpath was used daily by the waterboard to access the local pumping station for Darrington.

Notices have been posted at either end of the footpath and people should be encouraged to establish the route.  It is evidence to show that had the path been clearly marked, it would have been used by the public. It's existence provides the walker with alternative access to the Went Hills and for the casual stroller it provides a manageable circular walk, and a valuable amenity for the area.
